New lawn water logged

I have a lawn that was laid 3 weeks ago that is completely waterlogged.

Stepping on the lawn will sink 50-80mm.

Recycled rubber lawn edging

Has anyone used recycled rubber lawn edging , Is it strimmer resistant . ? 

My recommendation is everedge but the customer prefers the the look of the recycled rubber edging  as long as it's durable ,
