Stihl Kombi Extension

I recently replaced a KM hedgecutter attachment so I now have a spare shaft. I also have a spare sleeve that the shaft fits into with the clamp fitting.

What would I need to make this into an extension & is it worth the cost ?

E10 petrol

We've had several machines fail recently (stihl hedgetrimmers and blowers) where the carburettor needs replacing- and on older machines, this can tip the balance from 'worth repairing' to 'not worth repairing'. I suspect this is down to E10 petrol.
