I cant really comment on the landscape side as its maint that i do

I remember my first 2 winters were really hard until i got an established round going.

My main tips would be

Leaflet drop whenever you have no work on dont leaflet the posh areas go for areas that other gardners might not have been.....it worked for me.

Allways save every penny you have until march then you know its safe to spend when the season is in full throw.

Every year invest in a new piece of equipment iam still investing 6 yrs on

Cram as much maintainance jobs as you can into a week it may seem a lot in summer but come winter you would be glad you have.

Dont give in my first year i was down to my last pounds.
