Markup on subcontractors

Hi,

We subby for two companies and im wondering if any one knows if there is a general %% mark up on work?

One of the companies tells us what we get and take it or leave it and another asks for prices and I take it they add their cut on.

Any thoughts?

Forearm protection

Anyone use forearm protection sleeves or can recommend a decent pair.I need to invest in some as i cut my forearm when pruning last week. It caused a huge rash right up my arm and now infected.It's been too warm so only working in a polo shirt.

Small Lockup units

Green/big hands

By this I mean the big plastic things we use to pick up leaves and other garden detritus.We have tried numerous makes but none last more than 2 years max.They all tend to crack or go brittle.
Was wondering if anyone has found a more robust pair.
