Deck-oil slip hazard, or just another example of why builders shouldn't be let loose in a garden??

A regular client of mine recently decided to get his builders to treat his hardwood deck.

They used a tinted water-based stain, and although it did look presentable for a few months, within a year it now looks bad and doesn't clean up well.

Mini digger - Kubota U-10 or K-008

The Kubota k-008 is 700mm wide with tracks in, weighs almost 1 tonne, not zero swing. Fits down most side passages to gardens.
The Kubota U-10 is 750mm wide with tracks in, and weighs 1.1tonne, is zero swing, 2 speed etc.

A September garden
