Hi everyone.
I'm currently clearing used land on a school - enchanted forest levels of brambles and buddleia.
I've got everything cut down to 3/5 inches, so ideally a flail mower would be great to finish it off the bramble and long grass areas, right?
Problem is, there are loads of glass bottles, bricks etc hidden around, and it would take us a while to pick everything out - is it ok just to run over it all if I'm fully over the top PPE kitted out? (chainsaw boots+trousers, motorbike jacket, arb helmet+ specs and mouth guard) because the flails just bounce off what they can't chop?
Another option - one or more us will be taking the PA/1+6 in november, and the site is enclosed by tarmac/pavements. Would it be more sensible to spray in the spring and kill everything off, then flail? The rest of the site is interestingly an old car park and pavement - leaf mold must have built up over the years and allowed plant growth. So I'll probably get a mini digger to scoop up and dump it all in a skip.
I'm hoping to be meeting with the management soon to discuss what their eventual aim for the site is, so that may affect what I do anyway.
Thanks for any advice!

did you strim it already ?
how big an area?
grazon-pro spray on a good dry day will 'stop' / reduce much of your weeds...
A flail mower will smash any glass bottles, and broken glass in the ground is something that should be avoided. They should be collected and recycled. But take this into account for what you are charging.
