Welcome to juice great to have someone from a marketing profession, and who's been on the tools as well
Started my business 4 yrs ago sole trader growing
Stead eerily every year, for repeat maintenance,
This year I have turned lots of one off jobs away
Ie conifer reduction, garden tidy ups, pressure washing,
Because I'm too busy and stressed to even go and quote
These jobs. Dec, jan,feb, I've done no work at all so,
So I do all paper work, plus sit down and scrutinise
Different ways of bringing in new clients, question is
(Would you class this as marketing strategy)... Ie
At first kicked in, {affordable garden services} company name thinking that it would get peoples attention,
Found that all the calls coming in were from people who wanted
Cheap jobs doing and were from 10/20 miles away, yes I was
Taking them as it was my first year in trading, then after 2 yrs
Decided to rename the business as all calls were travelling jobs,
Over one winter I sat down and thought how could I get local work
Decided to rename the business to my named town,where I live,
Omg!! all calls now are from a 3 mile radius, but what makes it worst still turning work away and it's all on my door step!!
(Question is Stuart the change I made would this be classed as a marketing strategy) ?? Mark.
