I do! I pay 30% of the book price on all machine hire. No Idea why they have those prices in the book I guess it's for the one off weekender chap. Also the book price for a deposit on a mini digger is £1300!
about a year ago Marshall Indian Sandstone went from £1200, to £1600 and then became "ethically sorced fairstone" and went up to £3200 for the same 45m sq quote within a few weeks, that was pretty harsh.
also I use travis hire all the time, pay a tiny fraction of book price, just there to mug idiots i guess, but then you look at HSS etc their prices are pretty brutal too.
got the sandstone off the net, who am i to put a hardworking 10 year old out of a job :)
i paid £1.359 a litre for diesel the other day, daylight robbery, when i got back in my area the diesel was £1.209 a litre. why are the prices so varied. its the same diesel comes from the same hole in the ground
in respect to winter salt i pay around £4.50 per 25kg bag.
What does everyone else pay?
Perhaps, whoever gets it the cheapest could recommend their supplier?
I get a 1.5 t for £40 a day of local guy! If i need a .75t its £50 from jewsons!
