The clean limestone will work you will just need a teram layer below it so that it doesn't mix with the soil. Ideally you would want it to be 200 deep though.
What's more readily available to you? The limestone or type 3? Also what's cheaper?
I know if we need type 3 we cant get it in any loads smaller than 20t.
20mm limestone is the same price as type 1 to me. I doubt she is going to go ahead with this now due to it being far more expensive that she expected.
