Simply Business: Bad experience mate. They offered insurance with Glemham. I paid, they called a few days later and asked more questions!
They told me as I used a chainsaw occasionally I must have "treefelling" cover - even though I said that I don't fell trees, just use the saw for heavy hedge branches, sleepers etc!
Asked me for another £350. I told them to jog on and now have better cover at a better price with NFU Mutual. Very flexible. No charges for changes or cancellations. Highly recommended!

After Reading the previous forum on NFU I phoned the main branch for a quote. They said there was no body available so gave me a number got my Preston branch.
I phoned and was told the lady who deals with insurance was unavailable.
So I left my number with them, three days later I've heard nothing.

Try the Hatton Heath office on Monday - 01829 771 133. I have had many conversations and have been rung back, when promised everytime (about 9-10) except once :)
I was dealing with Stuart. No problems, everything clear and timely! :)
I was with NFU for my truck insurance, but old story of when I wanted to renew was a lot more expensive than the others, - now use a normal insurer and get cover for work use for me and spouse, - save about £150 at least.
didnt pay out for my theft claim , so be careful. and tried to screw my dad for 2 excesses when he reversed into his own car (all his insurance is with them for 10 years)
