Interesting feedback from potential client..

Just thought I'd let you know about some interesting feedback I've just received from a potentially new client.
I received an email enquiry via my website yesterday asking for a quotation for some landscaping and maintenance work. The woman confirmed that she had heard of me from seeing my van in passing and liking the company logo. What's more interesting, however, is that she liked the van logo as it had images of plants on it which she said most other gardeners/ landscapers (around here anyways) don't have. This is what stood my van out from the crowd.
It is clearly something that any new businesses may want to consider when it comes to signwriting on vans or images on their websites for example.
Just a thought.
Michael

    Hi Michael

Are you able to post an image of the side of your van so members can see your example?
  • I try where ever possible on my blog/website to include images of plants, flowers, veggies.

That is what we're about right.

Have a new van that needs sign written in the next few weeks. something to think about thanks Michael.
  • One side has a hosta

    Thanks Michael

I remember in about 1993, our sign writer told me that photos on vans would be expensive (not that I had planned to use any).

Can you say what this sign writing cost you?
  • £250 if I recall correctly

  • Looks good Micheal.

At the risk of sounding to technical, is that a 'century gothic' type font ? Clean and easy to read.
  • Iv'e always been a bit dubious of using a large image on a sign written van, but i must admit your van looks great, eye catching and therefore memorable, text is short and to the point and easy to read from a distance, Nice
  • Yes. Worryingly well spotted!

  • The images had to be of a very high resolution in order to be clear but they've worked out okay. Ideally I'd like a van that was completely covered with a huge image kinda like Sky does with it's vans but I can't justify the cost.

    Hi,
It's absolutely true. We've had calls following people seeing our vans on the road - see picture below. We tend to use Vauxhall vivaros and renualt trafic's - SWB/low roof

It's also interesting that people often 'turn-off' when presented with van with 30+ bullet points on the rear door.
Also, if you keep it simple you can change your business 'focus' with ease.
