Hi all. I am after some advise, if anybody has any ideas.
I have a black limestone patio (grey slabs) Last Saturday we had a new Teak table & chairs delivered by Cyan.co.uk I pointed out a small chip on the table which the idiot delivery guy said he would repair there & then. Using Superglue to feather a piece in. He placed the pot of glue (no lid) on the patio, before I could say move it, it was upside down. I went mad, his reaction was 'no problem it's only superglue, it's not a big deal' I poured water on the area to stop it soaking in followed by white spririt. He just wanted to wipe it around. It transpired that he had already done the same thing on another slab & wiped it around, which I would not of known about until after he left if it had not happened a second time.
So, white spirit did nothing. Pressure wash & Patio cleaner zilch. Cyan suggested Spirit of Salts 'because it will move anything' which is Hydrocloric Acid (Brick & Cement Acid) which i have also tried. This evening I tried spraying Acetone on it & still nothing.
I don't suppose anybody else has ever had this problem but I am after ideas of how to remove it, apart from ripping up a square metre of paving which is on a full pug base!
Oh by the way, Cyan have so far been useless, not responing to my emails or returning calls, until I threatened section 75 on my credit card, because the table went back & had not had any explanations.
Cheers guys & gals.
Ps. I don't recommend cyan.co.uk!

Acetone is the only chemical I know of that will dissolve superglue.
Potentially the problem you'll have is due to limestone porosity, the superglue will have soaked in. Removing the surface layer may work, but due to the glue soaking in it may leave a sheen on the affacted area after cleaning.
Thanks Scott
This is exactly what has happened.
