Gabions - any tips

Would love to use Gabions in my own garden (which is lightly tiered to address a downward slop) to provide some seating using teak wood decking on top.

 

Who's used them either in a design or actually built using them ?

 

Any tips, gotcha's, problems, subsequent thoughts etc etc

 

Picture especially welcome....

    http://www.maccaferri.co.uk/  market leaders I believe and have seen them in action, excellent systems, if you can also get the colour ,shape of stones and planting between stones right it looks even better.

    There is a section called Product and Service Reviews; an idea championed by Gary @ Acer Paving and Landscaping and started this February.  Anyone can write a review and add to the section.  Section is accessible from second box down on top right hand side of LJN.
