Employing extra staff in current 'climate'

At the moment there are number of LJN members (me included) are busy looking for addtional staff. There are also a number of LJN members that state they are busy, with some operating a waiting list of jobs/clients. Neither situation has happened by chance. Work generally does not just 'appear' and employing someone is a major step for any business. We are looking because we have seen an increase in our workload having taken on several new contracts and expecting a few more. Also, I have limited capacity for "plan&build" work, so I have referred landscaping work locally that we can not do. I just find it a good indicator that there is profitable work out there to be had. Stuart / Karl - what has made you look to increase your workforce - was it just a gradual increase in business, new unexpected opportunities or new business avenues ? Anyone else also looking for extra staff or additional help ?
