Community help

Arbour Design & Build have recently helped out a local school who won a garden make-over in association with a local charity and the local newspaper group.

Arbour Design & Build offered labour services free for a day and they took up our offer.

Luckily we went to site a few days before to appraise and found solid concrete everywhere....the local community were due to plant out the garden on Sunday 21st November however none of this was possible without the intervention of Arbour Design & Builds workforce and a couple of heavy duty breakers.Skips and materials we also donated from other local companies.

We removed over 7 ton of hardcore and rubbish in the process and replaced it with freshly imported topsoil... Sunday saw the clean up of the garden, a small shed was erected and loads of planting undertaken by the local community with great spirit and thanks from the school.

There was also a plentiful supply of tea and coffee for all the workers..

We have been sent this link below by the newspaper which details the project a little more.

Please check it out.........

Sounds like excellent work and with local media coverage that's good for all those involved.

Perhaps LJ or LJN should link to the article - Phil ?
