This is a nich network that we have direct subjects about the day to day problems and subjects we all deal within the industry suitable for all groups from begineers to landscaping contractors recomended to anyone.
you should be proud phil on setting up this network it is in fact one of its kind i worked in other areas and all other networking in buisness to buisness is usually four to five customers followed by 12 accountants, solicitiors etc, looking for work from the honist people turning up...
wish i had more time to review it regular.....
The first gripe would be:
I would like to know where EVERYONE is based by looking on thier profile.
It's great to make friends with many people who have a wide range of skills, which we can learn about from all over the world. But it would be really helpful to 'find' people with skills that you require or need for a project within a sensible traveling distance who you could consult/commission.
I feel this would result in excellent business networking.
Thank you and I agree that we do serve the industry in a way that no other site can or does and I can only see it get better and better.
Kerry,
I have been looking into setting up the groups so that are a regional representation of businesses.
For example, someone looking for a landscape designer in Cambridge will be able to quickly find details of designers who sign up for the Cambridgeshire group.
It does not mean that everyone will have to re focus on the groups because you can just join and forget.
Thanks for the feedback
Phil
I will be uploading some pics soon, and really like to see others too.
I have some interesting garden ideas, that i will be putting up for discussion, as soon as I figure out the site map.
Thanks for giving us the forum!

I think Kerrie's idea about seeing where everyone is working is a great idea. It's founded on the idea of closer working relationships between the different sectors if the horticulture industry which I would like to see as well. I think that regional groups would be a better way to achieve this than profile tags though. I can see that some people don't want to give their location out so regional groups would allow members to be located it they wish.
Apart from the obvious technical difficulties with Cat's profile, which are intermittent, I think the network is really valuable and useful.
I'm sure that Cat will be blogging again by the weekend...!
The site is great - odd technical glitch, but can't be helped. Traversing the site, I've come across some questions on legal and regulatory issues which makes me think that it might be helpful getting (1) a small legal firm on board to offer general points (it probably would have liability issues about offering actual legal advice, though "factsheets" with a disclaimer are probably a goer); (2) an accountant (ditto as with the legal firm and liability); and (3) someone who watches the regulatory developments coming at the gardening industry who can highlight when the boffins of Brussels look like they are about to have another dangerous idea and need another dried frog pill to calm them down before you're all wearing hazmat suits and hardhats when deadheading the roses.
I ramble on a touch and I apologise about that - the audio is ten minutes long but I hope that you find this a little more persoanal which is exactly how I always intended this site to be.
I hope that I can talk about tother topics in this way as well and do machinery and book reviews.
Let me know what you think.

A very good question but one I think is already catered for but you can take it a step further.
