Hello everyone.
my name is David strows and
I just thought I'd mention the new bs 7533-102.
Some of you may know what it is and some may not.
there is a bit of confusion in general as to what it does so I will give a brief Ive review.
the proposed standard is a paving installation guide.
within the standard is a clause called clause 4.
this clause deals specifically with domestic paving categories which are deemed to be 3 down to 1.
this clause provides design and instalation advice where a design that is in line with bs7533-101 is not available.
it is the first time that a standard like this has been created and is incredibly easy to use it will remove the grey areas and hopefully reduce the " opinion" based construction in the industry. It will also provide clear accurate advice for the installer and for the client .
the APL are working closely with British standards to promote it to the industry and public.
if you would like more advice regarding the standard which will hopefully be released around September, feel free to call the APL
All the best
