Off topic blanking trafic van egr valve

Off topic from the forum topic but does anyone have experience of blanking a van egr valve.I replaced the egr valve about 3 months ago, but vans playing up again same symptoms if it is the valve I'm thinking of blanking it but would it pass mot.Cheer
