  • I know there not great either but i think 'ratedpeople' are the best of a bad bunch, atleast plenty of people on LJN have experience with them, so easier for newbies to gauge the pro's and con's of signing up first hand.
  • signed up with MyHammer way back sometime last year without realising exactly how it worked, found out, bid the lowest to win the work, i think not! hav'nt looked since, waste of time.

Harrison Gardens were listed with this company for 1 year in 2007, we received 4 to 6 quotes pertaining to us per week (or so they thought). Most of these quotes were for front porches and house extensions and the real landscaping work never actually amounted to much.

In early 2008 I left them as I had no leads for almost 6 months while still listed.

I spent more time asking for my money back for bum leads and never got any work worth quoting for

I sometimes have a look a various sites promising work, you have to subscribe to them per lead or trawl through lists and purchase the ones you think could be worth it. I can only deduce that if someone is capable of searching the internet to find a local company wy use this method.

There was one site where you had the work listed and you had to reverse auction style bid, therefore the lowest bidder won the work, no thanks

    its not for me
    cheers
