but thats why they have money isnt it ?
lol
people love showing off- shiny vehicles , sports cars and motorbikes,
like i said : lots of people have made much money the last 7 yrs before recession, many still are /bankers' i think they are called.......
Is it though ?
There were a number of 'true bikers' at this event who live & breath bikes. Some commute up to London every day and don't necessarily have a car because of this ( I know I was one of those 20+yrs ago ).
The fact they choose to plough their money into a bike, doesn't always mean they are showing off - but you right a % would be showing off.
Gary, you and my old man would get on great, hes got about 5 BMW's in various states of repair (and dis-repair!) cluttering up our workshop / showroom / warehouse.... not to mention a francis barnett, a Suzuki GSX750f (on a G plate with only 5k miles!), various side cars and more bloody bike parts in our stores than lawn mower parts!!!!!
I could be tempted towards an R1100 I suppose but the current "child seat" requirements put pay to my bike riding days a few years ago. Not to mention that fact I find it hard to justify having 2 grand tied up in something that would only get used for about 1k miles a year never mind having 19grand tied up in one!
Go for the CBR Neal,
The vibration on the Monster could be a pain after a while. Good for blasting down country roads but a pain in town. I used to have the old full fairing 750Ss.
