I wouldn't have accepted it off of the delivery lorry in that state, now they have delivered it to site it may be difficult getting a refund.
If your looking for decent turf Rolawn are pretty good in my experience. If you use one of there premier stockists they keep the turf refrigerated in summer months and quality and cut is always good.
Rolawn is what you want in future.
As for what you've been delivered it's total rubbish. Are the company a member of TGA? If so it's worth complaining to them too.
I just use the local supplier for everything. You need to be able to walk in and talk to them face-to-face if something goes wrong IMO, and I would be complaining!
I guess the online company you used sub it out to a local firm anyway? In which case there's either an extra mark-up for the middle-man, or a higher delivery cost if it's coming from someone less local.
awful - insist on refund ..
Very poor quality. Unacceptable, but why buy on line? There will be good local companies who you can build a relastionship with or has been mentioned, the national companies.
I have used Stewarts Turf (part of the Q Lawns Group) great customer service, and a brilliant product, as mentioned they have large refrigerator units to keep turf cool.
I would send photos of the turf you have received and send them to the supplier and ask for a refund, not really an acceptable quality of product. It looks like the turf you have recived has perhaps been sitting in a hot lorry depot for an extra day.
I think one has to inspect the quality of each and every delivery, every time.

Thank you very much for all your help and useful information.
Finally I received my refund.
It was a third party delivery , all wrapped up on a pallet. But the main problem was that they cut the turf too low - it should have been checked before putting on a pallet...
Anyway. I learnt from this order now, next time I will go to local growers, which I have found already and definitely I will try Rolawn in the future!
Thank you for your advices again!
Enjoy this lovely summer! :)
