What rates do you use when prepairing Quotes

I quote per job when doing all jobs but often wonder if my price basis is correct as i loose a few quotes.

i think to the £10 per hour mob then I get a call to repair the damage beacuse they have butchered everything with a hedge cutter. When will clients learn gardening is a skilled job and you need to pay for the knowledge as it takes ages to repair the damage. Would you trust your child with a doctor who stuck an advert in a shop window advertising there services for £10!

I have been wondering what others use as a guide hourly rate for the following when producing a quote.

 

  • General Gardening (cutting lawn, weeding and pruning) regular and ad-hoc.
  • Hedge cutting and reduction
  • Laying paving
  • Erecting fencing
  • Charge up rate on supply of materials

    You just did tell them - this site is open to the public. If they google your business name this thread may appear and they can read it.

    I generally charge £15 to £18 with any materials supplied at a max of 20% which covers me collecting, delivering and purchasing. But never tell customers unless they ask

    Hi, the Key Business Objectives Group on LJN is a good place to discuss 'pricing', there are some useful posts there already. It's a difficult subject to discuss on a forum in front of clients ....
