Good software. I use freshbooks. It's an online tool that helps you keep track of all invoices, allows paypal, tracks everything for tax returns and makes estimates really easy. It does loads else but I'm still to explore anything past the everyday stuff!
sounds good i'm looking for an easier way to create a list of plants for quotation on small to large projects - have you come across anything for this? Seems a tedious process typing out long lists - am I missing a trick? thanks Rachel
How are you finding it though Martin...does it feel good to use?

I am using Xero for the LJN accounts and I can email invoice directly from there. I can also link our business bank account directly to Xero so reconciliation is easy.
I don't need to do estimates but if I did I can get add-ons to deal with it.
Have you considered a fully integrated accounts and workflow package?

You can link some bank accounts but also customers have their own un and password to access their account. You can add files ie pics or t&c to quotes they can except your quote on line and message them through the system to. If they do not except quote it asks for a message why.
And its free.
I use ZOHO CRM for customer management, which can also invoice. Not being using it long but seems pretty good.
