  • Not sure if these guys have what you are looking for but come highly recommended and I believe they know their fuchsia's.

  • Thanks Graeme - will give them a ring

  • Hi Tony

Thanks for your call and chat, wish you well.  Have just checked on RHS Plantfinder, which is now online and is normally the best source for this sort of plant.

They are showing 1 Grower, but last registered for this plant in 2010.  Might be worth contacting them though?

  • Steve - Did check RHS plantfinder as you suggested  -  got the same result - but could not find the find the button to press to get their details - where is it - or do you have to be a member to get details?

Was good to have a chat  and wish you all the best

  • Tony, might need to be a Member, can't help you on that one, sorry, we are not RHS Members either.

Perhaps a kind LJN/RHS Member can help you out. Looks like the best shot.

    Take care.

  • I think it means that Alfie was last listed in the 2010 edition - ie, no nurseries are listing it in the new edition.   There doesn't appear to be any way of searching the archives to see who the last listed grower was ...you'll have to try and find someone who has a hard copy (ie the book itself) of the 2010 Plant Finder!

  • Just looked in the last edition I have as a book (1995/96!) and it lists the nursery as :

    Silver Dale nurseries

    Combe Martin, Ilfracombe, Devon.

    Tel : 01271 882539

Just the one listing, even back then.
