wessex trailers do a 6ft6 x 4ft, take a look on their website or google wessex trailers
You might find 8x4 gives you more options and really isn't much more of storage issue than 6x4. Be wary of towing legalities, vehicle GTW and your licence, though I'm sure you are up to speed.

6x4 indespension, 1T carrying capacity.
Thanks - THe main reason for 6x4 is, including the hitch I will be able to get it down the side drive and still be able to get my Girlfriends Corsa on the main bit - at 8x4 it would Jut-out and I can see me being very unpopular!
Towing legalities - My van is a 1.8ton (Kerb weight 1.4ton) berlingo with a GTW of just under 3T (2955kg) so I can tow 1ton behind and still have my tools in the van and the weight behind without breaching my GTW (and still under the next limit, the 3.5ton licence issue).
It appears the Ifor and Indespension are similar in price and spares availability, so not alot to choose on really.

But then if I were to buy an ifor there would no doubt be things I didnt lime about it.
Best to go take a look at your nearest dealer, speak to the salesman and get a feel for them before you decide.

Neil - Thanks, had not thought of that at all - I need to park it in a very very tight space (hence size issue), and get it out round a tight corner past a telegraph pole so that would be an issue for me. Most of my local dealer places stock just Ifor and Indespension - I was hopeing for alot more choice but seems their isnt really alot of choice for good quality trailers!
David are you saying the van is plated to gross vehicle weight 1800kg and gross towing weight 2955kg? If so, you can only legally tow the difference (i.e. 1155kg), which is the trailer plated gross weight.
Indespension GT13064, 6x4 single axle, will hold a ton.
Yes, you put it clearer than me! I know I can only tow the difference, hence looking for something arround the 1000kg mark. If it is plated at say 1300kg but never filled to that much, that wouldnt cause any problems would it?

If VOSA stop you they look at the plates, they don't weigh the trailer, and it doesn't matter how heavy it actually is. It's all down to what the plates say.
BUT
Trailer dealers will order a new plate for you if you need it. I have a 2.7ton trailer but am getting Ifor to put a 2.5ton plate on. This is so it falls within the 3.5t-6t difference for my van. I know I will never have it laden up to 2.7t gross so no issues doing this. I imagine indespension would be happy to put a 1.3T plate on a 1.5T trailer. It's then up to you not to overload it, but that applies at all times anyway.
Thanks for that - youve described it alot clearer than most websites (and some of the sales guys I've spoken to) have!
My main overriding concern is local to me I can get Bulk bags full of compost and Manure, which weight on average 700-800+ KG, but when it is wet, the bag can be more like 950-1000kg and this has been confirmed by the supplier. If it wasnt for this I would just get a 750kg trailer.
