trailer wheel sizes and tyres ?

some wheels are very small , some are called flotation tyres on ifor williams ?

 

are these suitable for 170 miles on a motorway and back 2 days later?

 

i guess 13"   or 145's ?  are better as they are bigger circumference?

 

 

whats the difference in weight bearing on bigger or wider tyres?

 

im looking at a p7e ifor williams with flotation wheels , although im thinking a gd 64 may be more suitable ?

    I got this trailer made last year. The tyres are 195/50/13's. I wanted the small wheels to keep the overall height of the trailer bed as low as possible for loading and running tractor mowers etc up onto it. The biggest weight i have had on it to date is 2.95 ton, too much i might add but it still tipped no bother. If anyone is getting a trailer made and regularly moves decorative stone or similar, get a sliding door in the tail door in it as below, so handy on a tipping trailer. run straight into the whheelbarrow, no shovelling needed.3314684341?profile=original3314685113?profile=original
