Tipping trailers.

Looking at investing in a tipping trailer in the next few months, as I think it'd be a useful bit of kit, saving time and my back. Currently use a Ifor Williams GD105, which I would continue to keep, and as good as it is, having a tipping trailer would make certain jobs a whole lot easier.

 

Has anyone any good or bad recommendations for a tipping trailer, for the likes of Ifor Williams, Nugent, Dale Kane, Brian James or Trailtec (Lisburn).

 

Most manufactures run two sizes - 8 x 5 to 6 ft and 10 x 6 ft. Has anyone bought one size and in hindsight wish they had bought the other?

 

It would be an expensive bit of kit and would like to make sure I make the right choice.

    My choice would be a good used ifor.

    Hi Andrew, you wont regret it mate. We bought a caged TT126 about three years ago and its been a godsend. Don't know much about other makes as i'm a loyal ifor williams customer and wouldn't buy from anyone else even if they were better. Trailers are the only thing i always buy new because they hold their value so well in the used market.

    A gardener was watching me tip some waste off once and he said "bloody hell, i wish i had one of those". My response was "simple, just pay yourself 3.5k less this year and bingo. Free trailer". People see you with all the gear and think you must be earning a fortune when the reality can be quite different.

    i have a tidy 8x5 ifor williams elec with cages for half that if your interested.
