The Worlds Largest Spade is coming to Creating Landscapes

Bulldog worlds largest spade They've been making garden tools for over 230 years...and they are coming to the Creating Landscapes Trade Show.

Wigan based Bulldog Tools have signed up to our 2011 event and they are going to bring the 'worlds largest spade'.

The spade was made to commemorate 230 years of tool manufacture: the factory currently employs 65 people knocking out over 2000 gardening and contracting tools every single day.

The spade, which took 160 man hours to make, weighs in at 180kg and stands 3.610m high: it's been verified as a Guinness world record.

    I remember when I attended Merrist Wood; the whole tools store was full of Bulldog Tools.

    I only live 7 miles from the factory and drive down the road passing the bulldog factory quite often, its fantastic to hear that Bulldog tools are attending the Creating Landscapes Trade Show and great news for Bulldog having the spade verified as a Guinness world record
