After letting the dogs out tonight for their last pee before bedtime, we can't get over the stars in the night sky.

Previously living in Woking, Guildford, Kingston and yes Farnham complete with residual street lighting, it's so nice to see for real the sky at night.

  • its too foggy here in nuneaton to see stars.
  • We are supposed to be 'misty' here tonight (according to the great weather forecasters) but still lovely and clear.

Sorry about your fog - expect we will wake up to horrid ice.
  • i'll be working tomorrow i think, i'm working along side an elderly gardener as he cant do the heavy work anymore and he's passing some of his customers over to me so i'm hoping for a good sunny day as i havent worked since last thursday. and that was in an unheated garage but the last outdoor job i done was over a week ago
  • the roads are slippy with ice an hr ago already !!
  • i stayed in the middle of noware in yorkshire last year loved the peace and quiet, the sky was clear and dark a realy great holiday
  • Trouble is, the best nights for star gazing are usually the coldest. I used to like watching satellites go over (especially the big ones like Mir, Hubble and the Space Station) but it can be a chilly old job. If you want to see some really spectacular night skies, get yerself over to New Zealand (if you ever get the opportunity).
  • Bright stars and twinkling, thick frost here in North Somerset.
I know what you mean about the complete dark. Stayed on Dartmoor couple of years ago. Could see the Milky Way, and magical succession of shooting stars!!
    Felt so restored.
