Immediate impression...A bit unimpressed...but, I must admit I watched the Election Debate live and so only caught the latter half of this programme on C4+1. The project seemed out of control but then that could have been one of the programme features...in which case I am not sure what that says. I was disappointed that there was so little detail on finishing and planting the pond. Several acres of perennial planting would be a nightmare to establish single handed. I shall watch again on line tonight.

    I missed the first wee bit so not sure what the guy does for a living, but he could afford to spend all day every day working on the grounds so obviously has a penny or two regardless of how many times they mention the tight budget.

    He did a good job but was a little bit mental!

    he used to be a gardener at a well known garden for 25 yrs, - then new owners and differences of opinion meant that he moved job and house, - he lived on the site in the that holiday type lodge, and there was only money coming in from the Nursery on site.
