  No you don't need a licence but under PUWER 1998 like any other power tool from a mower upwards you do need training before you use it.

  Your right there, this shop is only about 15 min from where i live and the service they offer is fantastic, very knowledgable, friendly and professional and best of all i have never seen any other supplier as cheap as them.
  And if your tools go wrong they will always fix them too.
  They have a website now and post to anywhere in the uk, i would recommend anyone on here to take a look. You never know it might save you a few quid!

  TBH i find them as interesting as LJN, if abit specialised and beyond my skills and understanding!, Mosty use it as a resource for educational purposes, as LJN is.

  You should be trained, at least by the supplier.
  The biggest problem with ours is the stones they flick out.
  Its all too easy to crack a window or dint a car.
