Spray green paint on a hedge? in York.

Yesterday one of our older more vunerable customers told me about the hard sell tactics of someone who wanted to spray parts of his dead conifer hedge with a 'greening up' solution. They were in a van, maybe sign written, in the Heworth area of York. The 'salesman' was worthy of the BBC watchdog programme apparentlly. They were called 'solvegreen' or something similar.Anyone know of this, does it make any sense?

  • lol... I just can't imagine how unnatural that would look! Rather like those heathers at christmas that are painted blue or yellow. I mean, manufacturers have completely failed to produce a green that is even remotely the same green as plants, what were they thinking??

It's hard to imagine how daft it would look, but I think part of the 'sales' pitch was the idea that it was going to magic the plant back to life.

  • Oh I see what you mean! Well I much prefer my idea of spray painting it green... Or you could use that 'flock' stuff they use for model railway layouts, like green spray-on snow. How brilliant! I shall apply for the patent....It could be used in conjunction with an astroturf lawn for the full effect!
