Soon there will be no chemicals on the market

Go to order a fungicide today, DANCONIL,  for disease treatment on a bowling green and it has been  taken of the market. How many more products will be stopped?

Daconil has been withdrawn by Syngenta because there were too many parallel import Chlorothalonil products coming in from EU countries. In fact there market share had shrunk to very little. So they sacrificed it to wipe out competitors products (The 'Mother registered product must stay on the market for the parallel importers to 'back to back label' and thereby get a MAPP clearance from DEFRA.

Chlorothalonil was not in fact revoked and is one of 3 actives in INSTRATA (along with Fludioxynil and Propiconazole)

It is a myth that there are fewer turf fungicides available  - there are more available than ever before.
