Show your support for your Creating Landscapes trade show

Great news this week with Avant Tecno signing up to Creating Landscapes and I think you'd agree, despite still some difficult trading conditions for the nation as a whole, the Creating Landscapes team are making some very good progress.

I will do a round-up this week of progress thus far and re-highlight all of the companies who have committed as well as reiterate why this event will help change our industry by bringing together the two most important parts of the market: the seller and the buyer - discuss Creating Landscapes here.

Whilst the event has to make a profit, my emphasis has always been about the transaction taking place in the marketplace and we'll adapt and change plans to suit in subsequent years.

It's been a huge learning curve but it's testament to the strength of Landscape Juice that this event is being taken so seriously. There's still a long way to go both in terms of the work we have to do as well as in the physical sense - seven months.

Geoffrey and Mick have signalled they'd like to help publicise Creating Landscapes on their websites so I'm making the static and animated banners available.

Below are the codes needed if you'd like to publicise the event. The more who know about this the more successful it will be and the stronger it will become.

It is a good idea Gary ...but to make it cost effective, it would need many members to sign up to the idea - let's gauge feedback as see where it goes.

One thing members could do is add a link to LJN and Creating Landscapes to their email signature. That way, whenever we all send out an email there will be a heads-up or reminder to the recipient.

This may not be a good idea but I was thinking, what if we had some Creating Landscapes flyers, comp. slips or business cards that we could hand over to companies we get chatting to at the RHS Shows and the like this year.

For that matter a LJN business card might be a good idea as well.

By business card I just mean an easy to hand over card with the Creating Landscapes or LJN name and contact details on for prospective LJN members or show exhibitors.

If Phil thinks the LJN card is a good idea I'd be willing to contribute some money towards getting them printed. He could then post them to members who request them.

Are there going to be any press releases that we can take info from Phil? I'm happy to put up a banner...but it will not do much as far as the search engines are concerned. Visited the main site but there is no info to lift and turn into an article.

Yes there will be Rich but in the meantime, there's been quite a bit published through LJ & LJN.

As you know, the more inbound links we can get to the Creating Landscapes site, the stronger we'll get. We will be moving from a holding page to a proper site soon so that we can run-in for the next seven months with a strong campaign.

As Phil is aware, we were anti this at the start.

This was not over some major issue, just the way that the location was imposed. That's gone, we have moved on.

The Show and it's ethos we think is just what our industry needs, a breath of fresh air.

We do wish the Show well for all those taking part, and hope that it delivers to all, both to Suppliers and Buyers.

Creating Landscapes has our full support.
