Seed and plant cutting swaps marketplace

How many of us buy a packet of seeds and never use them up only yo find that once opened that their viability is compromised? This year I have sowed pepper, chilli pepper, lettuce, peas, tomato, nasturtium and courgette from packets of seeds that are just two years old. Apart from two lettuce and half a row of nasturtiums, nothing else germinated which has left me with a little bit of a void in production. Would anyone like to mix and swap seeds and possible even cuttings? If you have anything that you would like to swap or even give away then please leave the details in here and anyone who might be interested can contact you. Please add the date on the seed packet and the date opened. I am more than happy for anyone to sell specialist seeds here but please observe the etique by using a low commercial profile and non aggressive selling techniques. This is more for fun and helping each other although I do understand that there could quite easily be some gems that can be sold for experiments etc.

The plant in the picture is Purple Toadflax Linaria purpurea as far as I can tell. The yellow one will be Common Toadflax L. vulgaris. I'm afraid I don't have seed though.

I don't know what it is but . It has long flowering period on tall elegant spikes and the bees love it. Happy to collect and send seeds from mine too although the blue I have seems quite common.

I might be able to offer some Mirabilis seed. (I know I promised to send you some Phil). If I can find them, I have some I collected a couple of years ago. I don't know how long they remain viable but they look tough (like little black grenades). Can't guarantee what colours they'd be as we have predominantly yellow but also some dark pink and some varigated. I can collect some more later in the year if anyone's interested. They have a fantastic perfume when they open in the evening. They're also very tough. Before I knew what they were, I ripped the leaves off for green compost and they just continued to grow and flower.

HI, I grow both these species on my nursery. Only the yellow is native. The purple was introduced and has spread. I have not seen a white form of either although almost all our native species accasionally produce an albino and some find their way into cultivation. There is a pink cultivar of L. purpurea, called "Cannon went" af5ter I think the garden where it was first noticed. I think but am not sure there is a pale hybrid between the two but have seen it only once and many years ago. Both hybridize with L. repens.
