Path Edging for Bark

Hi, I'm looking for an idea ?

I have designed a curvy path which my client would like to cover with loose bark. But what is the most economic edging to use only it is quite along path ? In Australia he used thin redwood which were pliable and cheap.

Is there a supplier for that in the UK ?

Thanks

Glenn

  • I would use 100 x 22 pressure treated timber boards, fixed to 50 x 50 pegs. However to get a curve you would have to cut into the 'tight' side - time consuming. I don't think marine plywood would last long enough to use (?). Alternatively you could use metal edging, eg Everedge, this will work well, but would be more expensive.

  • Thanks Jeremy, I will think about that.

  • A bark path does look nice and natural. However, I did a bark chip path once. The local cats used it as a giant litter tray so I had to take it up.
