NPTC chainsaw qualifications

The National Training Proficiency Council will release a new set of chainsaw qualifications on the 1st November 2009. If you are trained in the use of chainsaws or you use chainsaws for your work, then you will need to understand your obligations.

    £190 for 1 day assesment


    where are you as i did mine in the summer @ wales it was fantastic !

    I don't know where you are in Leicestershire, but Derby College do chainsaw training courses.

  • moulton colege in Northampton do them too. Only half hour down the road from you!
  • Iv got to get cross cutting and small felling! I didint think about subsidising!

  • ive not heard of much apart from - forestry teams paying half for workers.
  • Did mine at myescough horticulturel collage also did tree rescue.
    Best course I have ever done we did it at Knowsley right next to the safari park. Up a tree on a frosty morning listening to lions roar it was surreal.

    Whilst I appreciate that at times due to competition it may be prudent to hold back on certain details surely an Email or PM to selective individuals to in-part the little golden nugget wouldn’t go amiss?
