The only problem was the drive kept going it wouldn't even last a year, it was covered under warranty but when all three went at once I thought enough was enough and swoped them over winter.

Can't wait! Wonder if I should sell the 16 inch hayter harrier or if I'll really miss it on small gardens?
Manyt thanks iain
I was quizzing him as I’m probably going to get the 19” genius (stupid name aside). I’ve always used Maports, reliable, good in the wet, economical (semi)-commercial. And I can lift them in and out of the van. Then again I know someone else whose had a bad experience with them so luck of the draw?
He did state though he did not know if the handles would with stand hard use and that they are waiting to see how the machine gets on and if it needs tweaking they will do so to bring out a commercial mower with fins and bumpers and reinforced handles?
He did say though that a dealer in the south is selling alot of these to contractors?
Got a couple of domestic jobs that call for the roller though. I'll update you once it's arrived and tested.

Did a commercial site, some very long grass (6 inches), and probably around 1000m2. It did very well, packed out the box extremely tightly such that 3 bagloads was all I put into each of my two dumpy bags due to the weight and lifting them back into the van.
The machine takes a second to pick up on the drive unlike my john deere which is instant, and the drive speed isn't variable (unless I missed that bit), just the throttle. It has a good bit of weight which feels reassuring and the low deck looks good.
I'm guessing this is the first time this site has a) had stripes and b) has grass clippings removed. Hopefully the residents will appreciate it.
I can now leave the john deere as my permanent mulching machine instead of faffing about with the grass bag and chute attachment.
The grass was damp today and perfect performance from masport. I'll write an update if anyhting goes wrong!
How are you getting on with your Masports ? We bought a 22" today.
To date we have only used Hayters. To access the underside Hayters can simply be turned on their side air filter up but I see from the Masport manual they say "only tilt the mower with the spark plug upper most." Given that the B&S engine configeration on Hayters and Masports is the same (oil filler neck on the left and fuel filler & air filter on the right) I can't see why the machine cannot be turned on it's side to the left. How do you access the underside ?
