Masport Rotarola 22" question.

Does anyone have a Masport 22" Rotarola ?

I've greased the two drive chains as per the owners manual. The outer chain has an adjustable quadrant shaped black plastic chain tensioner -see photo- and I must have installed this at the wrong angle when reassembling as the chain keeps coming off. If you can show a photo of the tensioner on your machine in the correct position it really would be appreciated. Thanks.

PS However the tensioner is positioned the chain seems very slack but I guess this is normal.

    From memory I think the adjuster is upside down and lower part of chain runs over top of it.  Will try to look up on parts list tomorrow and clarify

    Thanks Derek, I think you're right.

    I've changed the position of the tensioner which now takes up the slack in the chain. Also in the former position the chain was fouling the inside of the plastic cover plate. I'll know for certain tomorrow when the machine will be in prolonged use.

    PS The online Masport parts list is useless - it doesn't even cover this model and the rest are all out of date. 3314672843?profile=original

    I can check mine after le tour has finished if nobody else has got round to it... short day today so I can watch the key stage of the event!

    Good to see another Tour fan on here. Should all be decided by todays TT - hopefully Evans will be out of it, he needs an image makeover or advice from Max Clifford !

    I am not an evans fan either... he is a bit moody and childish for my liking, not to mention weird! (did you hear his interview on yesterday's highlights as the reporter was chasing him into the building while still on his bike? Odd wee chap and an ass-for-a-chin!).
