One of my domestic customers has got one, it's nearly 20yrs old with a brigs engine. Good little machine picks wet grass well and leaves a good finish. Rolls a bit slow. Only parts it's had is one blade, a new carb and two drive cables.
Drive chain tends to slip off on a bumpy lawn. I fixed that with a extra bit of metal and a nut and bolt.
Hi Peter
I ran a Rotorola when I started up - used it 'semi commercially' for about 4 years. Great mower, but the only problem was getting new blade tips for it - at that time they had to be imported from New Zealand ! From memory, I had to wait for months after ordering them until delivery.
Hope that helps.
Mark
I've used Masport Rotorolas for some 20 years......I've only experience with the older models with the side PTO from the engine. These were brilliant.... reliable, cuts well and good collection in the wet. New Rotorolas are different with different drive system and made in China rather than New Zealand so unfortunately, can't really give much info on these later models.
