Sounds good to me,
the LJN yearbook and the LJN awards sound like 2 great idea's
the 3rd one being a LJN meeting in the new year
Magazine a good idea, Im not sure about the awards how would it work theres alot of work to judge/organise the format
A meeting would be good or a gathering at a place of interest?

The magazine I would have a read of definately
would it not be better for the first few mags to be data file like pdf which could be put on email, then it could be distributed further than just ljn members ?
just a thought and would save on printing costs aswell
I have to say I agree with Neal. One of the great strengths of LJN is that it is blazing a trail in the online world and frankly leaving everyone behind in that respect . As a member of a certain unmentionable trade association this is one of my greatest bug bears - that they haven't grasped this vitally important nettle with any conviction yet. I think the online world that LJN inhabits is it's greatest strength and I want to see it forging forwards not peddling backwards. Hell, you can always print off a magazine if you don't want to read it on your computer. It's better news for the envronment and would cost less to sponser (possibly meaning more and better content?!)

yeah good idea with the PDF but the newly launched Pro Landscaper magazine is on its 3rd month of publication and is most certainly going from strength to strength as Novembers edition is the best so far
Good point Mick, I guess my response would be that the Pro-Landscapers guys are seasoned print specialists whereas LJN has uniquely 'made its bones' in the online world. Each to their own perhaps -that way we get to appreciate the best of them both!
