Stihl 545VR is a lovely mower to use ... slightly smaller at 17" but at 30kg is a joy to use. It isnt the most robust but the pro's outweighs the cons in my experience
Thanks Paul, as you probably know these were badged as Viking which according to my dealer who sold them that they had serious issues, don't know if since the re badging any improvements have been made? How long have you had it? Thanks
What about the Hayter Pro 41?
Thanks Steven, at £940 with no BBC or variable speed and a 16 inch cut the Honda seems a better buy. Didn't want to be at this price level . The Lawnflite at £500 seems cheap but been in the trade long enough to know there's always a reason! That's why we're trying to get more info on it but when we've got the vat back it's approx £418 which seems for nothing! For a 21 inch self propelled 4 speed machine with roller.
Wow,they've increased massively in price!
Bought my hayter 41 pro for £600 new last year, can't believe they are now at £940! They are good but Tbh I don't think I would be happy to pay £940 for one.
I had an Atco Liner 19SV a few years back, was a pretty good machine, I think Mountfield and Stiga both do the same machine, may be worth a look.
Hi Peter
I use the Harter 41 pro, its a great mower, but I had to have the rpm turned up a touch to improve wet collection, now that's been done, its fabulous. Very manouverable and quite quick which I find useful when doing lots of smaller lawns. Have used the mountfield as well, very good too but preferred the Hayter. The Hayter is easy to start as well. Hope this all helps.....!
Cheers
