We found this to be a huge problem with our lawnflites, so much so that after two years we had to get rid of all three of ours and go back to Hayter.
It was costing us around £300 each time to fix them. If you do a search there's a load of threads about this problem.
Thanks again for info. Yeah I am starting to think that what I thought were wonderful machines, may not be so great. Ha ho live and learn.

My drive on one of my lawnflites started to play up and i think it was the baring on the drive that went. It only cost just over £100 i think.
Why not speak to justin Jones on here. He is where i take my lawnflites and other tools to when they need repairing. He can probably help you more.
Machine logs show only service items, a couple of broken front wheel carriers, several cables and 1 Honda exhaust shield.
I've mentioned before in other threads on this subject as to whether the problems are down to how they are used, looked after or ground conditions (ie dusty, sandy).
So surprised by the above. I'm the opposite we dropped Hayter due to b's engines, outdated designs and I think a lack of focus by them on contractor grade machines since their take over.
I guess I will have give my guys a pay on the back due to 'no problems'
