I'm thinking of buying an Iseki SXG 19 with high tip box and was wondering if anyone has any good or bad experiences using one. Thanks in advance for any advice.

We have the SGR 22 high tip, excellent for unloading into trailer , good for fuel, good cut in the wet (no stripes though) pick up of wet grass excellent, demo'd an SXG 15 a couple of years ago just not big enough for our needs at the time, only downside is spares have been a slight issue. notice Brian at MIB services is using one in his profile picture think, he may have more pros & cons with the Iseki.

Cant say I really had any issues with it, bought second hand a few years  ago and worked hard for the two years I had it, parts were available for it (only ever had to get parts for services) but always a delay in getting them, but overall it was a decent machine, but sold and replaced by a John Deere, more due to a change in contract than anything to do with the actual machine its self. Have to say though prefer John Deere machines, reliable and easy for parts, mines has a mulching deck on it so no wet lift issues.

  • I am looking at the SXG 19 second hand one, what are the pros and cons with with the low tip against the high tip?

Does the high tip have to be raised right up before it will tip?  and does the extra weight tell in any shape or form?

    Hi Scott

We have the SGR 22 as mentioned & we are looking at an SXG22 to replace it with , high tip doesn't have to be fully extended to allow to tip out grass, Picks up well in the wet, only benefit with high against low is you can tip straight into trailer as opposed to reversing up to tip out, interested to see Brian at MIB Services uses a John Deere don't know which machine he has, parts can be an issue but we ordered up from SGM in Inverkeithing has worked for us.

  • We just bought the newer model, the SXG 323 - low dump - so far great machine, will cut and collect high wet grass, but if you go too fast it will clog, but they provide you with a tool mounted on the back of the mower, to rake out the blocked shute. We have a little problem with a blown rectifier and the machine not charging, but they have ordered me a new bit that should be in this week. Just had its first service at 50 hrs. Very comfy, very fast on normal length (2-6") grass, wet or dry. So far so good!

Some sort of during and after shots last week & it was peesing down!3314700751?profile=original3314701032?profile=original

    Good luck

  • Just an update really - machine is brill, no problems apart from new alternator as it was not charging. Now done 90 hrs cutting wet & long and dry & short wet short everything so far has proved no match for it!

However, ordered a couple of blades so I can change them as needed ie one set on one sharpened ready to go. When the invoice came I nearly fell off my seat!

    wait for it........

134 Euros EACH then TVA (vat) on top!!! - so each blade cost  160€ (I need 2) ..........yeah right!

Went into dealer today and he didnt know but it appears the the new SXG 323 has different blades to the old SXG 19/22. The blades must be 15mm longer, and the mounting hole slightly bigger. (the 2 sheer pin holes are the same - on that note sheer pins are 10 € each!)

I can get them from UK for £80 + VAT + delivery........

I got him down a bit to 110 each, but still almost 2 x the price of the old model, and the Kubota's just cos there is 15mm extra steel........

still, I HAVE THEM NOW AND SHOULDNT NEED ANY FOR A WHILE! (says he hopefully)

    have a good weekend

    Steve
