How to share a forum or blog post

Ever read a post on a forum or a blog or been wowed by a photo and wanted to share it? There is a facility on the site, I suspect little used because it is a little anonymous. At the bottom of each item, there is an icon with 'share' written next to it. Press on this and a menu of options will pop up giving you the choice to send the link to Twitter, MySpace, del.icio.us, Facebook, StumbleUpon or Digg. Alternatively, send directly via email of select from your list of friends on the site in the two other boxes.

You need to be a member of Landscape Juice Network to add comments!

  • Phil, is there any way that we can post things we see elsewhere here on LandscapeJuice? I get tons of exciting products, designs and inspiration from rss feeds that would be great to share on here as easily as described above...it is far too much to bombard customers and friends with on blogs, newsletters and facebook - but I reckon everyone on the network would benefit.

So we would need to have LandscapeJuiceNetwork on the "Share On:" menu - what do you reckon?

    Cheers,

    Hi Nicky

There is a 'what are you doing' box on your page that will accept links. I grant you that these will slip off the page as new content is added but will remain findable with site search and Google etc.

Alternatively, add an item as a forum post.

I will look into other 'share' features.

Aha - I hadn't noticed the 'what are you doing' feature - I haven't been on as much as I should have been...is there any way this can be sync'd with twitter or fbook etc?
  • Hi Phil

I suppose you are maybe restricted by what ning offers? Any top level integration with the likes of flickr, facebook, twitter, linkedin, youtube etc would be a fantastically positive move for the network. I'm sure there are many members like myself whose usage of LJ is at an ebb during the busier months but who understand the importance of the network and are keen to make use of all it offers: if we could sync our profiles with the likes of these other mainstream networks then we would perhaps be able to spend more time here. So if we could source mostly everything here and export it to these other places automatically I think that would be a fantastic boost to every members involvement and general online morale?

...or am I a bit 'pie in the sky'?

    Cheers

Have a look at Flinkit - I have added it to the top menu.

What we need to do is try and add an unlimited RSS feed to the LN front page.

This might need a lot of working out.
