Hourly Vs Fixed Price Debate

The current thread debating the pros & cons of how to price is a perennial topic that surfaces regularly on LJN.

It is good to see it surface again and note the number of members that have read old threads and recommendations (especially Phil’s older posts) and put into action over the years - hopefully to a positive outcome.

We all have views and a good business mentor puts their view across for the benefits of others to read, without any malice, bad feeling or arrogancy.

There is no right or wrong view, no right or wrong price ( and personally I’ve always said a person’s pricing is no one else’s concern or a good guide BUT knowing YOUR own costs is vital ..... and helps establish YOUR own pricing whether per job or hourly ).
