Hi Geraint
Possibly,where are you based?
Steven
Hi Steven,
im based in North Wales, CH76DP, about 15 miles from Chester.
Well we've got the mower body sitting in a skip right now. The engine's in one peice but hasn't started for a couple of years. We're Birmingham area.PM if it's of interest.
Hi Steven,
Thanks for the message
Yes it would be of interest as long as its not seized and the shaft is straight. How much do you want for it please?
Geraint
You can have it for nothing,we're throwing it out anyway. Have sent you a friend request.
If you can get a free replacement, that's great .................. providing the crankshaft length isn't really short, you can actually straighten the shaft. I've a tool I picked up on Ebay secondhand..... it bolts onto the bottom of the engine and a large bolt aplies pressure to the the side of the shaft to bend it straight...... there's actually youtube videos of the tool being used. I'm sure some dealers will have access to one of these. Haven't actually tried it out yet but seemed a good gadget to buy for £35 though I suspect I might never use it and will end up reselling it on Ebay!
...... that's what the guy you bought it off on eBay said ...... it must the same tool going round in circles
