I have a Henchman and personally I wouldn't have anything else (apart from a slightly taller Henchman) - I cut some big, tall and wide hedges - I wouldn't want to be cutting the top of a hedge using a long reach cutter at full extension just stood on the rungs of a ladder... That's just my personal preference admittedly.
I don't find the Henchman restrictively bulky, once you get the hang of carrying/moving it about its fine (and mine is an old steel one - new aluminium ones are much lighter) - mine came from Ebay from an elderly chap that had used it once to paint his house... lets just say it was around a third of the new price...
I like the fully adjustable feet of the Henchman product - the product that is linked to above appears to have fixed feet - so no good for unlevel jobs as Paul points out.
At the end of the day, its horses for courses, its what you personally feel safe and confident working on!
Looking at the pic of the bloke hanging off the side of that it looks like a prime case of falling off a ladder with a hedge cutter in your hand ! I'm sure it may have a use..but a limited one.

I couldn't imagine working all day from this to cut some of the hedges I come across..not safe. versatile or comfortable enough for me.

Thanks for all the opinions ..... I will get a Henchman or Hedgemaster then !!
I got one about 8 months ago, very handy for trees/hedges and havn't fallen off yet!
I would second the tripod, its so light and versatile. I got a 12ft one partly on chris's praises and its super.
I got a tripod as well - very stable, I think ours is 10' - thats plenty high enough for me!
