Hi,

I'm playing around with the idea of buying a used Hayter Condor, if a couple of commercial contracts I've been asked to quote for come off (fingers crossed).

I wonder if anyone on LJN could advise me which one would be better suited to cutting amenity grassed sites (a playground and a doctors surgery) - a condor with a cylinder or a rotary cut. I'm after a fairly good finish (well at least better than the standard council cut), but of course it does not need to be to Chelsea standard.

I've used my trusty Etesia mulcher before for commercial sites, but want to speed the job up but can't stretch to a decent ride on.

  • I would go for the rotary as they are generaly a bit cheaper second hand and there is a greater choise, especialy on ebay. Have you thought about other manufactures? Scag, Ferris, Hustler, have a search for zero turn mowers, include title and description though.
