Hi i am thinking of providing a design with measurements to back up my quotations for driveway surfacings.

Thanks Mike.

  • I use Google Sketchup as well, its great once you get going but takes a little bit of time initially, there are lessons on there via you tube which help and once you get the hang of it the results are great.
  • I agree hand drawings are great when you spend time on them but I found sometimes clients struggled to see exactly what I was trying to acheive, where as once its in 3d they seem to get it. I now use both, hand drawings initially to get the work and then CAD to get the design signed off.

Another option I just remembered is on the BBC website, I seem to remember they have free garden planning software, that might be able to do driveways? I havent tried it though so no idea if its any good.
